In order for stories to appear with full-width images on Facebook and Twitter, some extra meta tags have to be added.

Recommendation: Add these tags to all features, series landing pages and stories that will likely share well on Facebook and Twitter. They can also be added later if a story begins to gain popularity.

Validating

To preview how stories will share on Facebook and Twitter, run the story URL through Facebook’s Debugger and the Twitter Card Validator. The story must be published to view results; it cannot be previewed before going live.

You can also use the validator tools to immediately push through image changes.
